How is a performance born? What insights, questions, and possibilities lie hidden within the creative process?
Odin Teatret, in collaboration with Centro Artistico CARPA, ARTI Teatro, Centro Teatrale Universitario and Ferrara University, presents a new edition of Collective Mind, an interactive residency led by Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley.
Over the course of seven days, 25 selected participants will have the opportunity to step into the heart of the rehearsals for Eugenio Barba’s new production “Yellow: Vincent’s Sister”, a work inspired by the relationship between Vincent Van Gogh and his sister, Willemien, featuring actors from different parts of the world.
Participants will not merely be observers, but active contributors to the creative process, engaging in daily physical and vocal preparation, observing rehearsals, meeting with the director, and participating in dialogues and discussions regarding dramaturgical and staging choices.
This is a rare opportunity to gain an insider’s perspective on the work of artists and collaborators from diverse theatrical backgrounds and cultures, while contributing to the exploration of new expressive possibilities.
